With a library card and pin number you can now access
Lancaster County Library's Online Catalog
and your personal library account. Active
library patrons may call 285-1502 to get a pin number.
If you do not already have a Lancaster County Library card, stop by
the nearest library branch and apply for one.
It takes just a few minutes. You
can also receive a pin number at the same time.
Then such things as renewing your books and placing holds can be
just a click away. Begin by logging onto www.lanclib.org Select "Online Catalog" Click "LOG ON" Enter your library card number in the blank for Patron/Alternate ID Number: Enter your PIN then click "Submit Request" button to access your account. Once you are logged on you can view your account, renew items which are checked out, place books on hold, and check on the status of hold items. You also need to CHANGE YOU PIN NUMBER so that no one else will have access to your records. Please remember to use only 4 digits when changing your pin. |

Holds
may now be placed online. Perform a search for the desired item. Look up it up by author, title or subject. From the complete record you can see if the item is available or checked out and at which branch the item circulates. You may place a hold on an item if it CIRCULATES at your HOME
BRANCH.
(Your home branch is the location where you applied for your
library card.) If you have problems placing a hold, PLEASE e-mail your home branch to make the request. Lancaster County Library, Kershaw Branch Library or the Bookmobile. To
Place an Online Hold Locate the item you wish to place on Hold. Access the item’s full record. Enter your card number and pin, then click: Submit Request. The system will then tell you if the request was successful.
